I couldn't bring myself to make the option of the Spit in this kit with clipped wings, it just spoils that iconic shape... When I returned to this hobby in 2019, my first build was a Monogram P-51 - that tells you something as well 😉 Thanks for your comment on my build 🙂

JohnHa, I know what you mean about the clipped wing Spits. It's like taking a beautiful girl and lopping off her ears. Aerodynamically it made sense but aesthetically it was an atrocity.

Christian WThere are two problems with this kit:
a) - The kit number. The same number pops up with this Dino 246GT (Fujimi 08256, 1:24). And I think, the number for the GTO is not right because I can't find any kit for sale which is the 288 GTO.
b) - It is said, that the kit contains "AcuStion" photo etched parts but there is nothing written on the box as usually.
Maybe someone can proof this or that.

Mike Volkov 作者The instructions say to paint the cockpit FS36241. This may be accurate, but the colour of the Quinta's 3D printed parts is different. So I mixed the same colour and repainted the whole thing.
The difference in colour is very small and the cockpit is much more consistent.

Das sind selbst gefertigte Aufnahmen für die Mandibeln. So kann ich sie besser anfassen und lackieren. Einfach ein Stück Gewindestange in ein Kunststoff- und Stahlprofil gesteckt und verschraubt.

TreehuggerI have yet to fiddle with LED's for my Enterprise NCC-1701 refit, but I did learn from some place that, if one place LEDs in a serie, then if one LED fail, they all fail. So probably best to have serveral wires around instead of one loop for such LED projects.
Another thing to worry about, is not having the LED die too soon, but I guess that might be just some calibration thing if building all this stuff from scratch.
Heh I invested in a digital power supply for LED projects some years back, but haven't gotten around to using it yet.

They won't often be glowing in the finished model. Maybe at an exhibition or when there are visitors. A permanent light is therefore not provided. It's just a nice gimmick for me

Denis DogadovGood job. But with the coloring, I'm not sure if everything is right. I don't really like the colors, apparently the RAF colors are needed here. And apparently there were no stars on the wing from above.

The photo you posted is of an older version, a machine delivered directly from the factory with Soviet markings. In this case, the red stars are not present on the upper surfaces.
In the case of the Airacobra Mark I, like the one in my build, the machine comes from 601 RAF Squadron and wore British markings before arriving in the USSR. It was received by the VVS in late 1941/early 1942, the British markings were covered by Soviet ones.

Bill NewcomerI enjoyed this kit. Tasks to be aware of: Remove the "ceiling" portion of the glass. It will help the side windows fit better. Test fit the interior and trim the perimeter to keep from splitting your cab halves apart. Be aware of rivets being in the way of the cab running lights. The mirrors a VERY fiddly. They take lots of patience. Wait to check cab to frame alignment before installing front tires/axle.

When you can, I trully recomend buying a cheap airbrush and a small compressor. I'm sure, you will like using it 😉
I say cheap becouse to begin airbrushing nowadays there are lot's of cheap airbrushes that work just fine, if you take care of them.

At the moment I just want to continue brush painting. I want to work on the skill considering I've only just got back into modeling with a year worth of experience. But when I get a chance at making the correct changes to my desk, I will install such a airbrush. 😁 By the way. Glad you like the Zundapp, it isn't finished...yet, I will be adding small foliage details after the diorama is put together. Still got a long way to go. But that is exactly the point. I ain't rushing this.
