Al, i like the buildings and the trees, i think that you are not without experience in diorama.,and this becomes handy in WWII dio 's.
About your hair : the older you get, there is still enough hair but now on places you dont like (nose , ears etc....) but okay you stil got it 😉 😉

Well, I am 54 and still have hair though the forhead is getting the 'V' look. In fact I have it long and goes half-way down my back 😉 Ahh, the '70's when model kits (and modeling) was/were cheap. Get 4 Airfix or Frog kits and still get change back from your 5 bucks. Sniff - excuse me, I am getting a little misty....

Yea but try to buy 4 kits for under $US5.00 now a days. I actually broke down and purchased a Wingnut Wings kit for $US89.00. Choke, Sniff - oh man I really go something in my eyes now ;/

I here that...I just ordered some basic paint colors, glues and a few other basic supplies to get started. With shipping it cost me over $125. $125 for paint...it use to be .59 a bottle.

Yes, for sure, modeling is not a cheap hobby...

I plan on sticking with 1/35 scale for now. Seems to be the most common scale for armor. And large enough to detail with ease.

Actually I am all over on scale. I very rarely venture into WWI era kit subjects. If I want to experience rigging, I will go back to building them old Revell sailing ships. I think I still have some pirate ship in my 'work in progress'. I think I posted the pics.
