This year I was at the circuit de la sarthe in le mans for the 24 hour race. When I saw the Porsche 917k in the le mans museum, I knew I had to build it myself in 1/24 scale 🙂

Dirty work with putty

Gaps are fullfilled with great Polyester Putty which does not shrink.

Kit is ready to priming. I will use Mr. Primer Surfacer 1000.

First primer, 1000 from Mr Hobby, now correction the imperfections and second coat of primer white or pink I must do a spoon test to pick a correct one.

Custom screws are ready to be painted. Black base -> flat aluminum silver

Some parts are almost ready. Instead of alclad Chrome I used Super Metallics Fine Silver thinned at a ratio of 1:14

Masking tape broke off the water decals...One element corrected(air intakes painted white) but the water decals in one place were broken off by the masking tape despite the fact that the decals were protected by clearcoat...Fortunately, I am able to mask it and paint it white.

You can put your pictures in a more chronological order, simply by going to the album, and click on " manage"
As you slowly scroll down, you'll see the advanced button, on the right?
Click that, and it will reveal your picture gallery?
You'll see arrows above and below each picture. By clicking those, you can move the picture up or below, where it currently is.

Turned out very nice well done, the tyre decals on my model the letters were seperate, I real pain. How did you find attaching the two body halves together ?
