F-100C Super Sabre , 32nd FIS, Soesterberg 1956

This must be one of the most pointless mods I've ever done... ;')
 

Cause this is all you're gonna see from the fan ... using a torch (!) :') 

Had some belts and buckles in the spare PE department 

I think this more or less remedies the shape of the intake lip after sanding 🙂 #GoodEnough 

Cockpit done... doing this F100C OOB ... a quicky.

SInce I couldn't get hold of the now discontinued decal set "Soesterberg Eagles" Soesterberg Eagles (Dutch Decal DD48049, 1:48)
I had to airbrush the squadron specific decorations on myself. 

Worked out quite well I'd say.
Also note the steel back part of the fuselage with all its different shades of steel. 

32nd colours are on 

Decals are on. Cooked up the serial from some spares and some 3rd party set I got from eBay.
Serial is from an actual 32nd FIS machine 54-1967 of which I managed to dig up an actual picture from the webs. I updated the project page with it.

No PE set for this one, hand painted OOB. 

Some nice shades of metal 

O yeah, so I also scratch build the canopy interior and a lifting oleo for it, since the kit doesn't offer an option to have it open like this.
