Modelbouw Dordrecht. One of the last surviving brick and mortar stores. And a very nice one too!

amazing ideas for the seat piping, headrest and seatbelt loop, if you don't mind I'll steal them.
Amazing work sofar.
Keep that Alpina collection growing, I'm at 12 now 😄

Considering the manufacturer, that headlight cover actually fits pretty well. Ever tried a 962C? There's some ill fitting headlights.

Following this to learn. I would like to know what cord you're using on the beautiful seats. Inspiring to see what you're doing with them. Also how will you be able to make it look like fabric on them?

Hi yngvenett, the cord is just blue isolated wire, the thinnest I had in my stash. I think this one is 0,25mm buth there are thinner ones you can buy. For the seats, just keep an eye open, will post updates the next days 👍

Hey. Interesting idea with that blue upholstery. I'll share with you a tip that I recently tested. For better reproduction of fabric seats, you can try adding 10-15% Mr Color C188(Flat Base Rough) paint to the blue paint. The rough surface will enhance the matte and the seats will be more realistic. Of course, I mean only those parts on the seats that are blue in color. Regards.

Hey Cas, yeah something of this kind was my idea too. Just making the surface extra flat will get you a nice "fuzzy" texture

Apply some thinned mr surfacer and tap with the tip of a brush can give a rougher texture as well.

Our resident cat annoys me each night by sleeping on my leg while I want to sleep. She gets flying lessons every night, yet returns each night.

After the pictures around number 53, I was curious to see what you would make of it! Really amazing how you saved the project 👍

I've been wondering about those markers. I like the look of them but haven't talked much to people that have used them.

Yep, those markers have my interest too. I have some cheaper versions, with long nibs, from a Chinese website, that are quite effective, but need a bit of work, for great results? The AK markers, might be the answer.

The markers are great, bought the set just recently and tested a few colors. Until now I am sold on them. The paint dries fast, but not on the marker tip. Which is soft, cone shaped like a brush with a fine tip for small detail. The only complaint I have until now that one of the lighter colors I used (ivory) does not cover too well and needs reapplication. On the other hand the metal shades are surprisingly good and very realistic. All in all I think this is a great product, very convenent and a real game changer in modeling.

However they have to stand the test of time. If they don't degrade in a couple of years or the paint dries inside or sth, but I am positive the guys at AK have thought of everything and released a good product

I'm definitely sold on the idea. I'll pick some up and test them out. Thanks for the info, Alexander 👍

Oh. Wladimir Iljic will turn in his grave when he figures that you used his proud bolshewic stars to improve this turbo capitalist car. 😉

I have some (other brand) chrome pens, I put them in a plastic box hoping it would help with longevity, but I guess the plastic caps are solid on these pens. Maybe the plastic box doesn't help much.
Oh, wow they sell the entire set (sold out ofc): ak-interactive.com/p..rc-markers-34-units/

Wladimir should be glad I did not use a USSR banner 😄. The stars has the proper shade of red so they had to sacrifice themselves
