Oh NO! that looks like a scene from The boneyards in Arizona! Bye bye "Aus Force 1" or maybe it can become a B-777SP ?

Or 777-138 ala the 707-138? Just need some 747 QANTAS decals for a great retro whiffie!

The 777SP/138 is no more after a paint stripping accident 😭
Though I have plans for a second B777-3 so another one is on the cards

So Ray, how do you like the Contrails engines? Can't wait to see this one done as well.

I found the Contrail engines a bit rough and some shapes simplified and apparently they are oversize. I now have the Zvezda kit but will eventually finish this one.

Well, this one has transformed to a 4 engined 777, I was not that happy with the Contrail ones after all, an appropriate Aussie What - If scheme to go on it. Some small things to tidy up and it will be finished.

Ray, you are the master of transfrmation! At first I thought A340. Then I looked at the windscreen and said, wait a minute! Boeing! But Boeing what? I love it! And not that unplausible. Very nice finish. Are you going to patent it before Boeing does? Might fund your retirement account, or at least keep the beer flowing! 😉 [BTW, I am always curious to see what kits you have going on in the background!]

How do you apply the long window decals on airliners? Do you cut them into sections and apply them that way?

Cheers guys, @Dutch, it seems there are others who do build spotting in my build photos. I do have too many on the go and cycle through them as I get bored with the current builds 🙂 @Ben M, I used an aftermarket decals set for the windows, Flying Colours sheet for a Singapore Airlines B777-300, the windows come in short sections, which are divided up by the cabin doors. The trick is to keep all the sections of window lines and door decals aligned down the length of the fuselage. For sheet that have longer strips of windows I cut them up to make them more manageable, usually 3 - 4 inch lengths.

Thank you for the tip Ray. I have been building a dirigible and it had some loooong decals which inevitably broke into pieces while I tried to apply them. So I just applied one broken piece after another, and fortunately the pieces that were too damaged were simple enough to repair with a paint pen and a straightedge on the model. It got me thinking how people did airliner decal windows because I have a 1:72 DC-9 I want to build soon. I'll just chop them up at good breaking points and carefully align them like you do. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out!
