I build the Famo some years ago, and there is an easy way to make the roof for it.
Take the rods (pic 2, the grey thing on the cargo bay) and use them to bend some wire of simmilar diameter. Make them a bit longer so that you can fix them in the cargo bay. Then you just need a paper tissue (one layer is enough), cover it with white glue and place it over your wire. When it´s dry you can cut it in shape and paint it.
