Sanded & tape remove reveal restored panel lines
Mr. Surfacer filling some small imperfection. It's almost ready for primer

1st coat of RLM65. I ended up putting 3 lightcoats on the bottom

Thanks for the comments! It's been fun so far. I plan on doing the canopy masking/painting this weekend. Several other small details yet to finish off & I'll be done.

Thanks! It's a kit I always wanted to build when I was 10 or 11 years old, but never got to. Now it's the second kit I've finished since getting back into the hobby after 27 years of building & flying R/C aircraft.

Thanks for the comments guys! I learned several new techniques on this build, like using Maketar masks for the topside wing crosses & pastels for exhaust stains.
