Francisco, I already replied to your question elsewhere - you can contact him on Modelforum.cz, nick MARABU. He is active there almost daily, as far as I can tell.

Francisco, they are (or rather he is, as this is a one man show AFAIK) most definitely not out of business. What is that thing you need to know btw?

ah now we know - good and speedy recovery Vladimir! Ah and by the way - excellent, clean and sharp work on your Stringbag. Looks very life like! What do you use for rigging?
Cheers, Christian

thanks all!
Christian, thanks. 0,12 fishing line, painted with Agama alcohol gunmetal. Strings are threaded though holes in the top wing. Same method on all my biplanes except the Gladiator.

Thx Vladimir, I use it too on my ship models. Have you ever heard of Rigg that Thing? A monofilament in different sizes made by Uschi.

I have had the Tamiya 1:48 floatplane in my loft since the time it was launched and never built it, i did not think my modelling skills were ready to tackle it (why did i buy it?) this is inspiring me to get a ladder out and find it

Alistair, Have you got the PE "brace wires" for the 1/48 kit, ?, and I believe they are bought separately, made by Tamiya

The Rigging 'wires' from Uschi are the thing to use for the ultimate result for sure. 🙂

Alistair, the PE brace wires from Tammy is indeed correct as they should be flat on the stringbag so you should use those instead of any other round thread/wire.
