These drop tanks were an absolute pig to sand and finish (still not right), had a step the size of grand canyon!

Decals would disintegrate on application! The nice red intake decals destroyed, oh well...next!

Seal in decals, fix the other drop tank, weathering should be done

Hi, i have a question about Vallejo black primer. for what i see, at first it peeled really bad. did it work better the second time, with different pressure settings?

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. The Vallejo primer, was very bad I must say. I used the grey/sand on the my Bird of Prey and it did the same thing. In the end I did not reapply after sanding it back. I just sprayed the metal colour straight on with light coats at low psi. To be honest I don't think the gloss black undercoat makes a lick of difference. I know some don't bother with it. The Vallejo's have good results but like most metal finishes, "Results may vary"... I might give the AK's a go next... or Alclad if I'm feeling brave

thanks. alclad can give really nice results. masking can be a problem. black bright primer makes a difference with Alclad, but that is just my opinion 🙂
