Su-15TM Trumpeter (in progress pics)
two-layer custom printed decal for instrument panel
a few details I've added to the kit seat
the first layer of decal is painted white and applied
front wheelbay
cockpit and engines
Quickboost resin nosecone
I placed these plastic and metal rods in order to strenghten the connection between polystyrene and resin
some joints require a lot of filling/sanding
more cockpit details
A small plastic ring is glued onto the nosecone tip and sanded to shape. This will allow the easier installation of the pitot tube.
pitot tube scratchbuilt from metal needles
canopy masks
main wheelbays
gloss black primer
darker metallic shade, which will remain on some panels. The masking follows...

The wash on this image was waaay too dark, so I removed it and applied a lighter shade. Next pics will be of the finished model 🙂

Album info
Trumpeter's kit is fairly nice and has good external details, but as it comes with Trumpeter, some parts are totally off. With this kit it's the nosecone, which is about 10mm too long! A Quickboost resin replacement is a good investment here. Vertical tail is also missing a large detail, so I'm using the Pavla resin replacement. The cockpit is basically empty, so I scratchbuilt some details and printed custom decal for the instrument panel.
