Triumph TR-3A, built for a work colleague who has a real one.
Started with two out-of-production kits purchased online - A TR-3 for the photo-etched and whitemetal detail parts, TR-3A for correct nose, etc. Project dragged on for five years as Bob kept changing the real car - Minilites, luggage rack, etc. Had to wait for a Mini kit with Minilites, which then had to be narrowed to fit the TR-3A. Engine was scratchbuilt as the kits only had a whitemetal sump + lower transmission housing.
A real labour of love!
