Meng's F-102 is a really nice and beautifully engineered kit

All things inside the fuselage installed

Masking the inside of the intakes that fit very well

Weapons bay, I will close it up but everything is provided to show it open. Needed shims at the wing root to fill a gap.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/2/8/5/935285-10501-40-720.jpg)
Had some fit issues installing the wing, spreader to the rescue...
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/2/8/6/935286-10501-84-720.jpg)
... and a nasty seam on the starboard side wing to fuselage join. Putting some tension on it.

Masking the windscreen
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/2/8/8/935288-10501-73-720.jpg)
Primed and pre-shaded
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/2/8/9/935289-10501-96-720.jpg)
First coat on, used AK Interactive acrylic, nice paint except it clogs my airbrush in no-time
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/2/9/0/935290-10501-41-720.jpg)
Mid-green coat on...
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/2/9/1/935291-10501-90-720.jpg)
... and more masking for the dark green
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/2/9/2/935292-10501-42-720.jpg)
Dark green done...
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/2/9/3/935293-10501-58-720.jpg)
...and looking good after de-masking
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/2/9/4/935294-10501-92-720.jpg)
Gloss coat and first decals applied
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/2/9/5/935295-10501-58-720.jpg)
Decals behaved well, didn't notice the slight white edge of the turbine warning strip until applying... But something else is off as well. Hmmm.

After a while I realized Meng fouled up with the national insignia. They are way too large.. What are these things called again? Right, references. Check check check. Darn things refused to come off, had to sand them off...
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/2/9/7/935297-10501-73-720.jpg)
Respraying the damaged areas after quite some filling and sanding to repair the damage...
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/2/9/8/935298-10501-57-720.jpg)
Back on track with insignia from the spares box
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/3/0/0/935300-10501-35-720.jpg)
Matt coat on, light weathering done
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/2/9/9/935299-10501-48-720.jpg)
More de-masking. Aaaand oops, pulled too hard on the masking tape in the intakes. Sigh...
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/3/0/1/935301-10501-85-720.jpg)
intake back on with minimal damage and installing gear
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/3/0/3/935303-10501-98-720.jpg)
Wing tanks etc on, almost there
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/3/0/2/935302-10501-66-720.jpg)
And done! Pitot tube was damaged beyond repair in the box, so replaced by a pin.
