proper positioning lights are key for "Heinz" once he reaches the treacherous bottom of the North Sea 🙂

that's Photoshop, by the way - not the real model (just to avoid confusion)
I wanted to find out which pattern looked better, a straight or a tilted one. Well, the tilted one I liked, but it was impossible to realize (at least at my skill level) so I went for an even simpler pattern with just four strikes

Album image #25
The mask are included with the Pegasus kit, and they are really helpful

Album image #26
Reality. The shape of the submarine was just too uneven to have diagonal lines. In addition, the (useful) masks tend to be easily lifted with Tamiya tape which would have been a huge problem. (Obviously lots of small parts are still missing, as well as additional painting.

Album image #27
Little progress 🙁

Album image #28
The small guy looks OK

Album image #29
The big guy is not yet complete (the base came with the model as did the squid)

Album image #30
The Steampunk spider walker is from Germania Figures and of extraordinary quality. My scratch-build cockpit with "glass plates" looks awful, but what should I do - it is supposed to be a submarine scene...

why not simply put some transparent walls on it. you can give them a light blue transparent color. of course, you will have no bubbles but.....

Maybe that's the way to go... I still have some m² of acrylic glas plates that I need anyhow to "seal" the cube when (if) pouring...
