Beautiful! It looks like a brand new Draken, straight from the SAAB factory. But maybe you are busy with the weathering... They looked absolutely ghastly by the end of their lives. I like your clever pre-shading technique, I will need to try it out some day.

When I was a kid, I had a favorite airplane book, and Sweden is a separate chapter in this book.
Since then, I have been full of respect for the Swedish aviation industry.
I am envious that you can see SAAB 29, 35, 37, 39 these outstanding airplanes with your eyes.
I have tried to do weathering, but according to your statement, they should look older.
Maybe I can try again next time.
The method of preshading is not my invention, my friends share it to me. It is an experiment for me, too.
I think it is effective.

I always thought the J 35 to be a large aircraft, but now seeing it side-by-side with the another aircraft I see that its not so big after all. Anyway, great paint work. The weathering looks great! 👍
