As there is not much to see of the engines I decided not to pour too much time into them.
Basecoat with Tamiya Black, the glossy one and then followed by thin coats of different Vallejo Metal Colours.

Cool tail art!
As I understood it reflects 302nd Squadron.
The three blue wing feathers represent number 3.
The white tail stands for the 0.
And the yellow claws for number 2.
It also seems to be an exception for 302nd Squadron as normally the emblem is not supposed to be bigger than the Hinomaru.
Something happened with the decal sheet.
I must have spilled something on it that washed out the paint. 🙁
Only fuel tank decals affected so far. So it is not that much of a problem.
Decals and Wash done.
Painting last details. Had trouble cleaning up the wash. I don't know, I think I screwed up a bit of the clear coat because on some areas I was not able to get the rest of the oil wash off the aircraft. It is not as clean as I wanted it to be.
