Q: What is the quality of the main carrier deck? I see some are offering a full plated deck with photo etch, but if the deck on your kit is as nice and crisp as the Trumpeter Nimitz 1:700 carrier deck, then I can't imagine one would want a photo etched deck.

Andrew PTreehugger: The detail on the deck is excellent and the entire assembly fit like a glove. I don't think an aftermarket deck is needed, and may be more trouble than it's worth.

TreehuggerI can also imagine how the packaging and shipping of such one-deck-PE might be a nightmare so to speak, easily bent and dented. I wonder what the packaging looks like for the BigBlueBoy set. Though, it makes sense that they would want to make larger PE with a thicker material perhaps.
