OV-10 Bronco - CalFire
First attempt at using artist oils for detailing. "very interesting"
Experimented with parafilm in addition to the tried and true Tamiya tape.
Altex putting to fill the cavity where the weapons went. If you build this mod, insert the weapons pod, cut off the extra and fill only the holes remaining. I used way too much putty and that caused an issue down the road.
Here, I'm thinking this is a tail sitter so I'll add more putting up near the C.G..... not so smart.
It took a lot more time working with that much putty than if I had modified the kit part.
The canopy has nothing to align the parts so you have to slowly and carefully work the parts while the PV glue sets.
Lego - my infinite building jig! I have a huge box of it in the attic waiting for any future grandkids.
Warts and all.

Album info
Academy 1/72 kit with Draw Decal and Altex putty. Mission Models White (not Insignia White) and custom Red (MM Insignia Red cut with a bit of Revell box and a few drops of Testers Red).
Firsts: Smoked canopy, artist oils, Draw Decal, Parafilm.
Failures: Landing gear - should have dry fitted them at one time all the way into the bays. As it was they ended up crooked and too weak to hold the bird up due to the putty. Canopy masking. Some issues with painting (too thick). Looking at it now the tail paint and decals aren't in line with the ground. Dust got into the cockpit so that didn't help either.
Fun build, certainly nothing to crow over.
