Good job so far, Johan. Keep it up! (and do not mix the parts from both kits 😉

Following along/ I have the later boxing so a good chance to learn from your journey. I agree the inside is pretty bare with no detail.

I'm waiting to see if those F-16s they send over will get digital camo as well! I won't build them, mind you, as I've placed a limit on my builds. I will build anything that was used as a combat, transport, trainer, army coop, reconnaissance or tanker aircraft in the support of or in the lead-up to a conflict from 1930 to 1980. Originally I was planning to build all the way from WW1/Great War to modern conflicts. However with America's "Forever Wars" & countless small scale conflicts that emerged between 1990 to 2019 or so I realized that I needed to draw a line in the sand & stick to it. As it stands I sincerely doubt I will be able to finish all the kits in my stash & those to follow before they shove me into an oven. lol
As for your statement on "not bad for a brush?" Baloney! "Not bad" doesn't cover it, friend. "Stunning," is far more accurate, with no qualifiers added! 😉

Yeah, that's why I was confused. as to why you painted the darker colors first as opposed to the lighter colors. One would think it'd be easier to paint the dark colors over the lighter colors?
I'm the same as you at this point, only with mostly different brands of paint (with some Humbrol thrown into the mix,) & I too need to get my hands on a new airbrush, air compressor & moisture trap. I used to have the first two but I think the cheap airbrush was faulty. I tried practicing with water into the kitchen sink & it just made gurgling sounds. Once I pulled back to put more air into it though ... lmao ... it shot water through the holes in the cap of the paint jar all the way to the ceiling. I didn't even get mad - I just giggled like an adolescent child that was about to get into trouble for having way too much fun.
I never did get around to replacing the airbrush or getting the moisture trap. Then in 2013 when my home was burglarized & vandalized my airbrush as well as my air compressor walked off. (Along with my entire tool chest of modeling tools from 3 generations of model builders....) There are a few other things I still haven't replaced, like my old flex-i-file for example & a locking pair of tweezers. (Both of which were gifts from my late friend Jim Marrs; He ran a small cottage industry called "The Ready Room." He had a few products but I only remember a couple of them pertaining to the attempts to make the P-51 a relevant military platform in the latter part of the 20th century.
