![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/2/9/8/1285298-17195-68-720.jpg)
This figure represent a member of the northern shandong province army during winter time. Only officers were able to get these fur issued winter cloth and hat, the normal soldier carried watted cloth instead.
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/3/0/0/1285300-17195-37-720.jpg)
This figure represent a "shock trooper" of the southern Yunnan army. They were issued with french Adrian helmets with a Kuomintang symbol embossed in the front. He carriers german "potato-masher" Stielhandgranaten which were highly praised by the chinese fighting troops. Instead of a carbine I will issue him with a machine pistol of (to me) unknown origin.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/2/9/9/1285299-17195-71-720.jpg)
This figure is a member of the "Tin hats" or "Big sword Unit", also an recognized elite unit of China in these times. They carried the distinct british "Brodie" helmet and a big traditional chinese broadsword which they used skillfully. Additionally he is issued with a regular carbine and two egg-grenades.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/2/9/7/1285297-17195-41-720.jpg)
This figure represent an officer of the eastern army of Sichuan province. Originally this one holds an opium pipe (?) in his right arm but I found it better to give him binoculars instead for a better view

![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/9/2/2/1285922-17195-99-720.jpg)
First figure is finished aside from his machinegun. It is still glossy after the fresh sealing with matt cote
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/9/2/3/1285923-17195-32-720.jpg)

![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/9/2/5/1285925-17195-37-720.jpg)
I´ve made him collar patches out of thin aluminium foil out of a good whine bottle. I gave him the weapons color of the infantry and promoted him to the rank of a sergeant
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/4/5/3/1296453-17195-55-720.jpg)
Back from holiday I finished my second chinese figure, the tin hat soldier. Well not completely finished as it will need a final matt varnish when the acryl colors and the glazing is completely dry. Painting was fairly easy here, too.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/4/5/4/1296454-17195-84-720.jpg)
I added a rifle sling out of leadfoil captured from a good bottle of whine
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/4/5/2/1296452-17195-75-720.jpg)
The green gasmask container is provided from regular chinese army stock and carries the personal chinese number "18"
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/4/5/5/1296455-17195-17-720.jpg)
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/7/4/1/1296741-17195-16-720.jpg)
The Yunnan shock trooper is finished (as usual exept for the final matt varnish when every acrylic color is thoroughly dry)
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/7/4/0/1296740-17195-27-720.jpg)
I provided him with an armband where the Chinese commander "Du" is written on for a better reconnaissance to which side he belongs
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/7/4/2/1296742-17195-92-720.jpg)
The extra machine pistol is loosely slung around his shoulder. Again I made the rifle sling out of lead foil
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/7/4/3/1296743-17195-23-720.jpg)
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/4/5/7/1297457-17195-26-720.jpg)
Finished the last of the four: a soldier of the eastern Army. I chanced his opium pipe for much more useful binoculars and gave him an apple green spring time uniform. The badge on his left arm is salvaged from another set.
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/4/5/8/1297458-17195-34-720.jpg)
The binoculars looks much better to me

Interesting topic and equally interesting set of miniatures! I find the hodge-podge of old and more modern weaponry to be quite intriguing 👍 Looking forward to see the result

Thanks for your interest. I feel the figures are nicely moulded exept the left one, his face have very few articulations and the nose is a bit too wide for my taste. But I think I can do something nicely out of them. I plan to fix every single one at an own socket in different terrain.

The faces are quickly done with acryl color. Faces are my weakest spot in painting but I did my best 🙂 Now we can advance to the headgear

All four figures are finally finished; now I am waiting for their pedestals (should be shipped toward me at 10. September) to place them each in their own little diorama ground
