Out of the box building with scratch modifications:
- I changed the original canvas back opening to a new one made out of tissue paper;
- The towing lugs next to the headlights were made of copper wire thinner than original plastic ones;
- The battery case straps (on the fuel tanks) were made from Tamiya masking tape;
- Next to the battery case are some wiring painted black;
- I also scratch made pedals (not visible in the pictures) and a turn signal lever from plastic rods and sheets.
The painting job was done with Tamiya (lighter tones and Nato black) and Ammo acrylic paints (darker tones). Weathering with Thick Mud and Splash Mud from Vallejo and Tamiya Buff color.
The scenic base was made from Depron (XPS) sheets on the sides and layers of ordinary EPS. The ground texture was made from air dry modeling paste and putty covered with garden sand and tiny rocks, blended with pigments. Everything was then painted over with airbrushed cheap handcraft paint and washed with enamels.
Building this kit was very delightful. Top notch kit engineering.
