Monogram F4-F Build
Sanded glued pieces. Stab has glue gloss.
Pieces of entire kit.
Piece missing. Fabricated a piece out of plastic. Best Guess as to size.
Test Fit Fabricated piece
Broken pieces before fit
dry fit pieces together.
Getting Pilot into initial position.
A small gap between fuselage and deformed wing piece.
Deformed piece has a huge gap between wing and fuselage.
Before Picture. Deformed piece from kit had massive gaps that need fixing.
Applied Filler. First Time working with Magic Putty. Learned a lot.
Finished. Sanded and wittled smooth.
Learn a lesson forgotten of not forcing pieces together. Make sure that they easily slide on and off. Main gear shattered.
With a little bit of luck was able to glue back together the main shattered gear. Only question is whether or not the the gear will be able to support the model.
Primer definitely shows where the piece was broken and glued back together.
Since 1st kit in a while seem lines for this kit are pretty obvious.
Magic Putty did better than I expected for the part that was deformed.
More seem issues. I guess what they say is right. That primer brings out the issues that will need to be addressed.
The part of the wing part that used Magic Putty came out pretty good.
Final coat of paint laid down with Badger 350. Now on to finishing and "Deckals"
