Now this is a lovely Voodoo! Any pitfalls along the way with the kit?

It's a decent kit with some nice features - photo etch, resin, good detail. Most of the fit issues fall into the "basic modeling skills" category. The wings had a pebbly texture than needed to be sanded away. I found the instructions were occasionally confusing, and there are almost no locator pins, so I found myself consulting photos to figure out where things like the cannon blisters were meant to go. (And I still put the landing gears on the wrong sides. I hope no one noticed!) The worst sin is the badly designed tail decal. The Benwaters livery was a real selling point for me, but the decal doesn't match the shape of the rudder or stabilizer assembly, so I needed to trim it with a knife and fill in the gaps with paint.

Thanks mate! I've got the RF-101C in my stash that I hope to build this year or the next year. The instructions isn't the best I've seen but it's a Valom kit and then it's part of the game with bad instructions and no locating pins. But slow and steady is a good strategy and that you didn't have any serious fit issues is nice to hear. The decal is a shame though. I will probably get at least one more Valom Voodoo, I just don't know yet which one it'll be.
