Ferrari F50

My ultimate dream car, I built this kit as redemption of an older kit I built, I never liked the Tamiya Kevlar decals, I even tried spraying those with smoke for that “epoxy” look but it still looked horrendous. So the F50 badge that goes in the dashboard messed up, tried using a different one but no success, it looks off but that’s my biggest Nono on this kit.
If you don’t believe in miracles, the weirdest thing happened to me, so originally my single cutters literally broke off the rear engine lid big time where I had to use putty to fix the damage, the sprue broke off like a nail from the rear engine lid, Originally it didn’t look that bad but you could tell the slight bump from the putty.
I called Tamiya customer service asking for a replacement of the rear view mirror and the taillights. Incidentally I broke 3 of those trying to use a heat knife cutting for it for the photo etch metal part, but the Tamiya rep sends an extra engine cover. Haha for me it was a second chance, ended up taking my time and painted it to match it and boom, like nothing ever happened. I never got the rear view mirror so I borrowed the other one from my older kit.

I used the photo etch’s details on everything else but the tailllight, it didn’t fit right and was a bit too big either way, I used a single coat of Tamiya TS-71 smoke for that dark tint and left it as is, doesn’t look that bad to be honest but you be the judge!

I finally figured out to work with delicate clear abs plastic, finally managed to delete the mesh and use the photo etch instead!!
