My father was involved in helping MOSPORT park, Ontario Canada during the late 60's /and 70s, bringing Formula One, Can Am and all the races to MOSPORT. MOSPORT became my second home in the 1970s. I met and watched all the great legends of Motorsport; Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mark Donahue, Dennis Hulme, James Hunt, etc, etc... I even got to stand with them during the drivers meeting prior to the race! My uncle Jim drag raced in Cayuga, Ontario Canada, so I also had the opportunity to watch the glory days of Drag Racing with Don Garlets, Don Prudhome, etc... I am retired and now restoring and building the cars of those years. I managed to keep my favorite builds so i can restore them and have managed to find the ones that didn't. I have so many photos of those days and the internet has allowed me to look deeper into the "anatomy" of the car to add all the line, piping and wiring of the real car. .. in 1998, I was re-introduced to MOSPORT through a great Dutch friend, Bill Reynders. I got involved with setting up the new and ongoing MOSPORT Kart Club. Our first international race included meeting Niko Roseburg and his parents. Danica Patrick and Fernando Alonso was also their racing as 12 year olds... no idea what would soon become of them. I ran my own family team with my son and brother soon after that and MOSPORT through yrs 2000- 2010. Building models has become a way to recall the excellent memories!
