2012 Corvette Coupe ZR-1 C6 (Red)
A red one

Contrary to my "Silver Corvette" project, I decided to build this adhoc. Why AdHoc? I bought this for spare parts because it was already started. I only wanted the rear window for my blue C6 ZR-1.
So then through a nice coincident ... how to say? I started a Corvette C7 for a friend. This should be painted "torch red". The fact, that Revell offers a red pre-painted C7 and I have one in my shelf, I wanted to know, how close this red is to "torch red". I took this spare parts C6, stripped the rest of the old color off and did the paint job. After the comparison it came out, that the pre-painted C7 is close but not exactly. Nearby the different can be seen.

This C6 turned out well so I took it to get an overview of the missing parts. Only the rims and tires. That's good. On the other side it is painted really poor. So this project will be a restoration.

Wheels... I checked my spare parts box and found a set of the Porsche Panamera. Sweet 🙂. I only had to drill the holes for the rims. They fit perfect into the wheel houses. And it's low. Looooow 😄.
Let's see, how it ends. Not silver *lol*
