Dassault/SABCA Mirage M5BA "Mirsip"

the Mirage MirSip upgrade, by SABCA, was intended to upgrade the Belgian Air Force Mirage 5 fleet with advanced new avionics, weapon systems, structural enhancements and canard foreplanes.

the BAF decided to retire the Mirage 5 in 1993 and the upgrade plan was cancelled. the 24 upgraded aircraft were sold to Chile, where they flew under the name "Elkan".
