TreehuggerI've been wondering if airburshing on a thin (super misty thin) layer of gold on the inside of the canopy is preferable (an F-16 project in my case), than airbrushing it on the outside. I wonder if anyone here has tried either way. A way to airbrush on a super thin layer is to fill the airbrush cup with thinner, and then add just a few drops of paint, airbrushed on thinly without it allowing to pile up.

Michael PhillipsI actually experimented with this awhile back using a spare P-51 canopy and nail polish. It turned out pretty good actually. Check it out:
