69 Citroën Mehari montana green

The Citroen Mehari was a fancy very light vehicle (1100 lb), initially previewed as offroad, but from 1968 to 1987 more appreciated by young "flower-power" influenced people, or going to the beach. The body was in plastic, 1970 only sold in the US, but also in Argentina, Chile and even Iran. The engine is from the Dyane model, a 2-cyl. 0,6 lt with 26 to 29 HP! The kit is from Heller and the montana green (from Gravity) is the only color available during the 20 years of production. I found the instructions very basic and often not clear, a lot of reference pics are recommended! The body is great but the interior (dashboard, suspension, motor and especially the headlights) are very basic. So I replaced the headlights with spare parts items. The decals are limited to some different french licence plates. A nice quick build of an iconic vehicle for the shelf!
