Correcting a Misstep of Childhood

My parents bought an early iteration of this kit for me in the early ‘80s (probably the second). I ended up butchering it, mainly because I was not able to sufficiently secure the front plate that holds the long neck to the bridge section to the drive section. I ended up using massive amounts of tube glue, not understanding its nature, essentially melting the plastic as a result. I always felt bad about it because I really like the ship design and wanted badly to be able to display it proudly.
