S-3 A/B Viking

This one done to intro myself to resin detail up sets.
Turned out OK, given the hassles trying to fit the bomb bay etc. The BB was 2+ mm too short.
Very, very fragile ejection seats, multiple rebuilds...
Ejection handles made from copper wire.
Left the sensor compartment hole to show detail.
Will finish proper fit of "canopy" and windows some day. Ran out of patience with the kit and need a cleansing project to reset.
Overall an OK kit in terms of fit etc. "Typical" of early Italeri though. Great for exercising "basic modelling skills". But coming after the Tamiya Tomcat...sigh!
Decals were old and fragile/wouldn't separate from backing paper. Masked and sprayed vertical stab markings and sealed and hoped on others..not worth my while doing after-market.
Overall a good base for trying/practicing some new and old techniques and experimenting with weathering etc.
