Sadly, after buying this kit, I found out that it was really a D airplane. The airframe was initially used to promote the E package and was used as a demonstration only aircraft. The kit is just like the real plane, not an E model either. From all I could find out, this builds up as a D aircraft, but you need to find new decals to make that work. You can build it "as is", but knowing that it isn't correct, may or may not bother you. From what else I was able to find, the kit goes together really well, and looks nice when complete, in either version. So if you don't care about accuracy as much, it should make a great build. If you want operational aircraft, then stay away from this kit, or be ready to buy aftermarket options to create an accurate D model F-15.
