I bought this TU 22M ESCI model for some time ago. I checked on the Internet for information. One article somewhere wrote that a lot of things were wrong concerning this model. I started checking on my own. First this model were produced in the 1980ies during the so called Cold War. At them times it was almost impossible to get any information especially from Soviet Union. When checking for scale accuracy it was a little difficult on the available drawings. So what to do... I took one picture of the aircraft calculated a little and printed out a picture in the correct 1:72 scale as for the information on length, hight etc. When checking with the model I found the dimensions to be very accurate ! And again please remember the model is from the 1980ies ! I can well imagine the problems ESCI must have had when making this TU 22M ! So would you like to make this model -ESCI or AMT in 1:72 scale I can recommed it and should your way pass some day, next to RIGA Airport in Latvia there is an Aviation Museum where they have the real thing ! 🙂
