I really like the way this kit looked so I picked it up when it came out. Definitely not for a beginner, though. Step 1 with the "Don't Glue This" symbols everywhere made this kit a tough start. Lots of dry fitting helped me sort what to do. When I had to do basically the same thing in Step 6, it was much easier.
The rest of the kit had some tricky spots but nothing too difficult with a bit of patience.
There is some PE but thankfully no tedious bending or microscopic parts to attach.
If you paint the windows with a clear green, which I suspect most modelers will do, there isn't much to see of the "cockpit". The top hatch door, part B23, fits snugly above the cockpit so if you do decide to detail the interior, you don't have to glue that piece on and can remove it as desired.
I wish there were some color callouts for some parts. The two part D15s are supposed to be painted red and white. While they are shown that way on the painting instructions, it is small and easily missed. I didn't see it so mine are now yellow, green and brown. The two fire extinguishers on the back are also not identified with colors and the paint chart doesn't even show them installed. I left mine off as almost all the photo references I saw on the internet had them off as well (and part D15 which is another reason I missed it!).
Not a weekend build, for sure. However, when finished you will have a nice "hot rod" looking artillery vehicle for display. I thought the 155 mm SpGH Dana I completed just prior to this kit was big. The Rhino is even bigger. Anyway, because of its unusual appearance, I highly recommend this kit.
