@Treehugger - yes, the movie is based on a rescue in 1952 by CG36500 (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Pendleton#Loss). The kit is not of that actual boat, but the same type (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifeboat_(rescue)#36'_(foot)).

@Thomas - oh yes, it worked very well debonding the CA, I used 3/4 of a bottle to get rid if it all.

There's something extra nice about old kit rescue, looks good I shall follow along. Liking that wave base a lot 👍

The waves are made from 2-3 layers of tissue paper and watered down PVA.
The base itself is XPS with balsa framing.
