Finished assembling the bogies. Always nice to have 6 bogies assembled considering the amount of parts per bogie.

Added the bogies and put the both hull parts together. It's dry fit. But it shows that this Firefly is coming together nicely.

The Firefly has got it's base color. It's Tamiya olive green made lighter with Tamiya lemon yellow. When I'm done wheatering the tank will have a darker tone. I've started with chipping before adding washes and drybrushes. This time I've used chipping medium of Vallejo. It's the first time I'm using it. The Sherman got 2 layers of grey, dark and light, and the olive green color. After each grey layer I applied a layer of chipping medium. In the tutorial I've watched it looked pretty easy, in reality I found it quite challenging. On some spots more green paint came off then intended. Clearly I need to find my way with this technique.

Thx, Ben. They're labours of love for me. I have a passion for aircraft and Formula One, but the models I have the most fun with, are the SF models. The lighting projects are always a challenge. I'm just finishing up my aircraft stash, and then there's a whole BUNCH of SF kits still to build!

Thank you very much Nathan, your kind words mean a lot. I still do not hold a candle to your builds. I got the pitot tube and gear doors and drop tanks on today, all I have left is the IR seeker and a final clear coat to seal the weathering. I started a Hasegawa AV-8B Harrier II. The horror stories I have seen and read about the kit are true. It's a pain for sure. Lol.

I think you should do the factory test model red AND the conservative grey scheme! They are both cool. Heck maybe you should do 20 or 30 of these little suckers. That would be fun.

This one was moulded quite good, l had to build up the bottom intake on one side a little, but l think that was me not fitting the part level.
I have an F-4 phantom from this range in the stash, l managed to get so 144 German decals for it ....they cost more than the kit 🙄🤣.
