Ridiculous idea. The Meteor wing, beneath the area of the brake is a very convoluted 'socket' or retainer style piece of engineering. So, cut it out, add the PE brakes as shown and wonder at the blank hole - or at best a blanked off piece of card. Airwaves poking around for ideas here, and failing. The instrument panels and sidewalls are very good however, in defence.

How about a foldable 'box' to contain the wing nav lights not present in most Meteor kits?
Both my Rareplanes and Matchbox kits simply omit landing and nav lights. An outrage! I shall write to my MP.

In WORLD WAR ONE livery in Aviatik Berg style pattern, Austrian K.u.k fliegerkorp, in an alternate 1930s where the war rumbles on with new tech. So, plain late war crosses on tail, red and white bands on wings and austrian numeric codes i.e. 457.55 etc. Side project. Airfix mould. Do17F.

Back in business. See latest pic; wondering if any benefit to making airbrakes from thin alu foil. The brakes here are to scale and very convincing, but a little bit o' extra. Why not?

Airbrakes. Or the suggestion of same. TIP: in your local Garden Centre/ Mall they should sell 'anti-slug tape' which for the most part is simply lengths of self-adhesive thin COPPER foil for wrapping round plantpots. Slugs and snails are'nt fans of copper.

For the process of 'overpanelling' the stuff is so thin it is, I believe, perfect for the task (always comes in one thickness at least in this country). I buy about 10M of it for £1 in bargain basement dives too. Bear in mind its adhesive quality may not be suitable for your project but hey, it is deffo in my opinion better than alu foil and SPRAYMOUNT artist's glue. That glue never ever 'sets' underneath alu foil.

My Grandad rode these and BSAs during Operation Torch if memory serves. He passed away in 1994. This one was for him. I recall the vinyl drivechain being infuriating to sit correctly. Unfinished but all parts exist still. Its second on my restore list.

In fact... let's start with the gliders for POLANDWING. Shall we? Yes, we shall. There were six released by that Polish company, and I bought 4 from mojehobby.pl on sale. They're beautiful but can be improved internally, plus airbrakes etc. All 72nd.

I think a few distinct paragraphs per album per aircraft will tidy the project up. Camera en route as well. Apparently. Much could be written about, say, the SZD Gil, SZD Zefir, Bocian etc etc. They're little known in the 'west' so a proper write up might be neat.
