This one could be dubbed "the series of unending disasters". So much went wrong with this - orange peel, scratched surface, oversprays in bad places, torn decals ... you name it, I made it.
However, I discovered AK's wonderful new 1k High Gloss varnish, which performs considerably better than the ones I had and it does not smell (which is a huge factor in our cramped little apartment). I was happy to achieve a decent amount of glossiness without lacquers and lacquer varnishes.
The model showed its age, being from 1988 - some solutions were not as easy and clear as I am used to seeing from Tamiya and the likes + the instruction manual was not always precise with the colors and placements of parts. But hey, I made it work, somehow.
Every model is a learning journey and this one taught me a lot.
