Hasegawa Lancia Delta Integrale

I s'pose I'll do a build log for this one. You know, I once said that I'd never have more than one project on the bench at any given time... 

Even though this build will be displayed with the hood closed, I still wanted to add the resin engine detail from USCP. I have a difficult time fighting the urge to un-curbside my models. Hood was removed using various Tamiya scribers. 

Joints and sinks filled (release the schmoo!) 

Though the glass was pretty clear and flat, there were a few small scratches present that I'm hoping a Future treatment will take care of. 

Tires prepped with some 200 grit paper 

With parting lines removed, body has been wet sanded to 800 grit to prepare for primer 

Since this will be a weathered build, I'm using Tamiya putty to add a bit of texture to the underbody. This will pick up paint and pigment and shading as I go through the weathering process. 

Figures... a rare sight on my bench. We're gonna see how it goes. Although styrene is (in my opinion) an easier, or at least more predictable material to work with than resin, the injection molding process requires them to be segmented into more pieces.  

Starting to come together now... 

I'm no orthopedic surgeon, but I'll have a look...
I'll need to change the position of Figure D's right arm, for reasons that will become clear later 

Since I'll need to build up her arm where the joint was cut, I'm using some soft wire to act as a bit of skeleton to support the new flesh.
