I built the model as a relaxing OOB build in 4 days.
The kit is from PROFI series and contains PE parts. The build went smoothly, the kit parts fit together perfectly. There was hardly any need to putty. The only place I used putty was in the gap between the wings and the fuselage on the underside of the fuselage. The gap wasn't too big and a minimal amount of putty was enough to fill it. The only thing I modified were the engine exhausts, where I replaced the plastic part with metal pipes.

So far some quick photos taken under the lamp just after the model was finished. As soon as I have time, I will take a picture of the model in daylight.

Thank you all for your kind feedback!

Z-526ASF is a new addition to my collection of Czechoslovak aerobatic aircraft. It will keep company with the previously built AERO C-104 - Aero C-4, Czechoslovak Air Force | Album by KLuK (1:48) and the Delfin L-29A - Aero L-29A Delfin Akrobat, AMK 1:48 | Album by KLuK (1:48).

Gradually I plan to add more Zlin aircraft to my collection:
- Z-226AS
- The Z-226T trainer (along with three other Zlin aerobatic aircraft, it participated in the 1969 Antwerp aerobatic show).
- Zlin Z-50L and Zlin Z-50M.

Album info

At the beginning of the successful Zlin series of aerobatic aircraft was the Z-226A model, which was created by rebuilding the Z-226 two-seat trainer.Gradual improvements led to the creation of other versions and the Z-526AFS is the culmination of the entire development series.

The simple red and white livery was standard on the Z-526AFS, However aircraft manufactured in 1972 received a modified design, as the color fields on the wing undersurfaces were no longerdistributed inversely to the upper side ones, but symmetrically.
The aircraft was operated for many years by the Jičín Aeroclub, where it was flown by "Sir" Jiří Kobrle, a successful aerobatic and test pilot, international aerobatic judge, publicist and long-time representative of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic on the FAI Aerobatic Commission. In 1969 he won the national championship and in 1979 he was a member of the winning team of the European championship in Esbjerk, Denmark. On the fuselage of the OK-CXA he got a drawing of the fairy tale character "Rumcajs". In this form he took part in the national championship in 1975 National Championships for example. In 1977, the first overhaul was carried out Trenčín, while the second, completed in May 1984, converted the OK-CXA to the Normal category as modified AFS-V version. She was also given a new blue and white livery and moved to the Aero Club of South Bohemian district. She was mostly flown by Hosín Aero Club České Budějovice in 1993. In March 1977, the CXA received a new paint white, which was complemented by "rainbow" stripes. On May 8, 2012, when on landing approach, the aircraft crashed into trees and ended in a pond near the town of Hosín. The pilot suvived with severe injuries while the aircraft was completely destroyed.
