you can borrow her for your shop window, if you guard her with your life from people with dirty fingers😉

Just looked again at these pics, it's still an exceptional build.
If you lend it for a shop window, non-touchable under any circumstances...

I think the paint job is a bit better on the Ducati 916, but theres way much more details added on the Alfa. and since there both italian i can't choose which i prefer. i think they came out quite nice but i still got a lot to learn. your right Steve no fingers ! especially since it painted only with acrylics, so it is a bit fragile.

Tiny fingers tend to be the worst, but innocently... Big fingers are just plain ignorantly not bothered and not modellers either!!!

I don't think people that don't build themself realise how much work and time that really goes into it.

Thats right,Alexander. They dont realize that you spent hours and hours of tiny and concentrate work, and perhaps lots of money on aftermarket kits. And the patience, and the moments you want to throw the kit out of the window because nothing went right. And the day after you try it with heart again and it works.
The life of a modeller is hard :-D

I mixed the body colour from Tamiya acrylic paints, 24 parts X-7 + 1 part X-9. but if i would have built it today i would have used zero paints Alfa Rosso paint. but the acrylic mix looks good and works well if you prefer a healthier option.

Thank you, thank you 🙂 i'm going to rebuild this one to a stock road going Giulia GTA with bumpers and all that boring stuff. and then build another one with a transkit from Scale production and transform that one to a GTA junior. hopefully within the next 5 years or so 🙂

I've never worked with Zero Paints.. I didn't even know that existed (i normally build military stuff). But thanks for the information! 🙂 And i have to say, your build looks very good.

Thank you 🙂 just make sure you have good ventilation and a good mask if you're going to use the zero paints. they aren't really intended for home hobby use. but they are great !

I think i'll use some other paint. While i love the look of the Zero Paint (that Alfa Rosso is near perferct..) But this is the only normal car i'd like to build. Or i could experiment with PzKpfw IV's and Panthers in Alfa Rosso 🙂

What a fantastic paint finish!!!! Wow!
The engine details are very fine and well accentuated!
As a young boy with sweet 15 years ( end of the 70`s) I was working in a little Alfa Romeo Garage as a volunteer! It was a nice time and the types of Alfa at this time like Alfasud, Spider and Alfetta catches all my attention! 🙂

I'm quite good at charming cute little blondes, but the italian ladies are harder. one small mistake and they take your head off ! but i will try to soften her up with some smooth talk and maybe plant some roses in a pot next to hers. and with some champagne and Matt Monro you can't fail😉
