Thank you very much. At the moment I'm doing the B-58 "Hustler". When this is ready I have all the delta-winged aircraft of Convair and I'm going to show them all in one picture.

Album info

The Convair XF-92A was a plane which was a pure experimental plane. The wings and the stabilizer were in the form of triangles. It was the continuation of the series of planes developed by Dr. Alexander Lippisch who was trying to find out the behaviour of planes with triangular wings. He found out that these planes were very fast and could reach the speed of sound without very much difficulties. The first plane in this series was the Lippisch DM-1 which was a wooden glider built for test flights only. The main plane was to be the P-13, a plane with a pulse engine. But it never flew. The continuation of this series were the F-102, the F-106 and finally the B-58 Hustler Bomber.
The model was made from the Mach-2 kit which was built without any "after market" detail sets. I think they weren't necessary anyway. The kit was not too bad but the only point I really had to critizise was the thickness of the plastic. But look for yourself. I hope you like this model too.
