Looks great Heico! The weathering and desert dust look realistic to me. I especially like the coolers and the detail of the single bottle lying by the cupola. The taxi sign is a nice touch! 👍 🙂

Yes - sunglasses or goggles make the job easier! I wish there were more modern tank figures available though.

Never looked at it. Perhaps some resin ones available? I know Meng has an IDF set for instance in plastic.

I want to thank all of you for your comments. It's pleasing to see that so many like my Abrams 🙂
Hunter: I'll just type it here if that's ok with you. That way other people may be benefited too 😉

* I started with a brown/earth base colour, the next step was painting it with Modelmaster Acrylic 4812 Us army Sand leaving a bit of preshade.
* Then i went for fading the middle of the panels with some Tamiya XF-55 and Vallejo 075 sand.
* After glosspaint and decals etcetera i applied a brown wash to make the deeper parts like the panel lines stick out more.
* And then some pigments were used to make it a bit more 'dusty'.
* Finally i did a drybrush with a lighter colour than the US sand from modelmaster to make the rivets and bolts etc pop out some more. I believe is used Vallejo Iraqi sand for this.

If you have any more question don't hesitate asking!
