A6M5 Zero

I actually started building this in 2007 and got as far as the engine. Pulled it out of the stash a few weeks ago and I am picking up where I left off. 

I was lucky enough to have some Moskit exhausts included with the kit, I hate to think how much they would cost me these days 

Starting with the cockpit, I had already added the photo etch and wiring on my first attempt 

 

 

 

Added some HGW seatbelts 

 

Fuselage joined and cockpit installed. I attached the top of the wings at this stage before fixing to the lower half to avoid a potential wing root gap 

 

Rear canopy fixed along with gunsight. There were a couple of holes in the canopy which needed to be masked on the inside, i added the paper to make it easier to remove the masking 

 

Lower half of the wing on. 

 

Repainted the front of the engine and added a little bit of weathering
