The good old Tamiya Merkava. Always worth to build and yours is fine!

Thanks Dieter! It's indeed a nice build and i've added some aftermarket stuff and also some parts from the Academy Mk.2 (the old kit) like the ball and chain.

It's not yet finished 🙂 My modelling pace is very low at the moment.

Can you please mention the color type and numbers used ? I got this model in stash but I found that ready-to-use IDF colors are not very clear to me as I'm not an expert in mixing. Would love to produce nice result as yours : )

Thanks guys!
Cortex: I've used these Tamiya colors : one part XF- 20, one part XF- 57, one part XF- 27 and one part XF- 49
I got it from someone else too, so it's not my credit. But it sure works.
Thanks guys!

maybe this is a stupid question... but i have to ask. why did you use bright varnish? i know it is used before decals... but you seem have have painted the markings. and there is bright varnish even in the wheels where probably there are no decals. so whey bright then? does it get the wash to work better maybe?

Thanks guys.
Spanjaard, yes that is the reason. With the gloss paint the surface get smooth and it makes for the wash to flow good. Also it makes it easier to wipe away the wash if you overdid it by accident.
