The cheaper is the kit, more work it requires (and more fun for the modeller!). Please, update your album when you proceed with that project!

Exactly! The fun never ends 'cause there are errors to corect at every step! 😄
I bought a Hobby Boss and the Airfix F-86 kit to have for reference at part building for the PM, as soon as I get my vacuform machine up and running, I'll continue with the build, as I see that is the only option to build the air intake. To many irregular curves, so vacuformed styrene sheet is the only way to go...

looks a bit masochistic, doesn't it?😉
(especially as you already have HB and Airfix inhouse)

I think it is not more masochistic than refurbishing an old Frog's Mirage when there is plenty of Mirage's relatively cheap and good kits around... 🙂 🙂 🙂

Well you can say it is...in some kind of way. I got this kit as a present by doing a trade with a local fellow scale modeler. It has an overall good accurate shape, you just have to trim the cross section of the wings to get it totally right. And also build the landing gear bay and cockpit. So it is a good way of practicing scratch building 😄
