To begin with, it was the box art that made me want to get these kits in a series, as it is a subject that no other manufacturer has addressed and the detail will not disapoint those who build them.

The etched brass items are some of the most delicate I have ever seen, right down to the "Wing nuts" for the clamps on the battery terminals.

These items are found attached to the "A" runner and are compatable with all the other model of the series.

As the two parts are squezed together, the spokes will get lodged in the lower half of the tool and extreme care needs to be taken to remove it without any damage.

Squeezing very hard is the best way to get the brass to take it's new shape.

To remove the spokes takes some very careful work, as it is just so easy to deform the item if going too carelessly at lifting the edges from the tool where it will become lodged.

A small number of ejector pin marks will have to be removed here, as they will prevent a perfect marrage of the surfaces when glued together.

I have used the Tamiya super glue dispenser to govern how much glue reaches the parts I want anchored, and as you can see, it is the middle ring that gets the spokes fitted first.

The diamiter of the holes on the centre of both wheel spokes are totally different, so pay close attention to which is which.

These ejector pin marks inside the rims here were quit large and would have prevented the mating of the rims difficult.

The tread pattern of the tyers will all interlock perfectly if the locater pins fit to the holes , otherwise there will be no match.

Both the front and rear wheels are now ready for the relative hub centers to be fitted.

Like all models, there will be a small amount of clean up, but with this kit there seems to be virtually none, but I am just pedantic about getting rid of anything that would detract from the finish.

It is by no means, a big item, and handling all these small parts can only be done one way. That is with care and patience and a bloody sharp blade.

This is the gear lever knob, and I had to get some drilling done to make sure the lever would fit. :-/

Wayne, That is good value if you live there, but as always, the exchange rate and the postage and handling make it all average out to 30/35 no matter where you live.:-/
But as I said to Rui, the quality and detail in these Mini Art kits really is something good. 🙂

Hi Kerry, I´m really happy about your step-bye-step. I have the motorcycle since years on my bench, but I stop the working on the cylinder, because they are don´t fit. Well, now I saw, you cut them. Easy. I will "my" cut too, so I can work on the Harley.

Album info

A Dispatch rider asleep on his vehicle is an other part of Mini Art's 1/35 WLA bike series, and it's an exciting thing, as it is basically the exact same bike but with different figures doing different things, making for a great diorama of a garage in the field with a lot of "Activity", and taking into consideration my first effort was a bit rough, I have this time done everything as exactly as instructed.
