WIP , first steps
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/6/1/5/235615-15588-66-pristine.jpg)
First 'stop' .... Pavla seats are far too wide for the kit bathtub. It's not possible to trim them enoug to fit inside ... So I'll use the kit seats , which are also too wide, but no so much that can't be trimmed to fit.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/3/7/0/245370-15588-38-720.jpg)
Cockpit decals from the kit. Very good and accurate, but not por a C but for ZA. Not really a problem as the kit has enough parts to make a ZA.Decals reacted very well to Micro-Sol. Interior Tamiya XF53
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/3/7/1/245371-15588-89-720.jpg)
Bang seat head-rests are quite basic. Cushion will be added from plasticard.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/3/7/2/245372-15588-21-720.jpg)
Here it is .. Also added some bits of sprue and plasticard to represent throttle levers and some knobs.

Cockpit side cushion panels in Tamiya XF22
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/3/7/4/245374-15588-42-720.jpg)
Finished instrument panels. Dials were painted with Humbrol Clear Fix and I must say I'm very happy with the result. Ejection handles have been made from red electric wire. Some weathering went on.... Seats Tamiya XF53 and Gunze H421

![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/3/7/6/245376-15588-23-720.jpg)
Some putty was needed at the rear end ... at both sides .... but it's no big deal ....

Thanks Stefan .... I still have to make up my mind among the Czechoslovakian version (tan and olive green) and Egyptian (tan, brown and green) ,,,, I guess I'll choose the Egyptian.

Hi mates ,,, I'm about to paint the undersides and I have a doubt on the colour. As far as I know should be FS 36375. Eduard matches it to Gunze 325 , but FSM, IPMS Stockholm and Klaus matches it to 308. I've got 308 in my stash and looks rather good. But I haven't 325 for checking ...Any one can help me ?

I also started to build this kit but stoped because I am unsure how to deal with the missing wheel wells

Christinan ... in all pictures I've found , all undercarriage doors are closed when the aircraft is on the ground.

I can confirm the wheel bays on L-39s are closed when undercarriage is fully extended.
@Julian: Wish I could help, but I only used Gunze 308 as FS36375 on my Polish F-16C 🙁
Btw.: Who's Klaus?

Thanks Julkan and Lukasz. The cofusion arrised because of the CMK set which include a wheel well and doors for the main landing gear but none for the front wheel.

Thanks Christian & Łukasz . Łukasz ... David Klaus wrote a very comprehensive book on colours for modelling. This very one :

Julian: The match via Ultimate Model Paint Guide says: H308 is FS36375, H325 is FS36440. Hope that helps.

Album info
It should've been an easy project with a bit of added detail and aftermarket decals, but not to be finnished in just a Week-end.
I'm not Mike Grant.
😉
But I'd like to ,,,,,
So let's see how it turns out ,,,,
Pavla seats were discarded ... too big for the cockpit.
Interior : Tamiya XF-53 , XF-22
Seats : Tamiya XF-63 , Gunze H421
Undersides : Gunze H325
Uppersides : Gunze H27 , Gunze (20 H1+12 H27 + 3 H325
All brush painted
In the end the project took much more time than I'd expected. Not an easy shake and bake kit .... at least to me.
