Thanks guys, much appreciated. Hanno - in the English books the pilot was Piotr Skut (although this is not the plane he flew, this is the one shown earlier, when they are escaping on horseback in the desert). Mike - thanks, one of the great things about modelling from comic books is you don't have to be slavish about weathering. Also as they can change from panel to panel you can take a bit of license and have fun🙂

This is the Tamiya FB Mk.VI Mosquito kit, with the only modification being a change in the arrangement of the machine guns in the nose and filling in the additional four gun slots under the nose. Decals came from one of the Blue Rider Tintin sets and depict the aircraft seen in the book blowing up its own armoured cars.
