Good job. I watched Tora Tora Tora on the weekend. I noticed that in the movie they had P-40's and I knew that it should have been the P-36.
They also had a heap of Catalinas being blown up too. It was pretty spectacular

Thanks guys,
Yea I was watching that too Wilky. I don't know why they all seem to glorify the p-40, when it was the p-36's, I guess because that was the only action they saw in US service. The P-40 was next in line. Same in the movie Pearl Harbor.
The kit itself is decent enough, it's those damn Academy decals.....AGAIN !!

Album info
The only combat by U.S.-operated P-36s took place during the Pearl Harbor attack. Five of the 39 P-36A Hawks at Pearl Harbor, delivered previously by the USS Enterprise, were able to take off during the attack and were credited with shooting down two Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zeros for the loss of one P-36, among the first U.S. aerial victories of World War II
